The challenge from Laura this week is to produce a Duo-Tangle using Fengle and Quandry. These are both tangles that I quite like but have not used for a while. You can see the challenge HERE.
I did this piece last night while trying to take my mind off the pain I was in from having a tooth surgically removed yesterday. Not fun at all :-(
It is a bit blurry at the side because I did it in my journal which is a bit tricky to scan.
Last week Laura's challenge was Pointillism style, ie do everything with dots, see the challenge here.
I didn't have much time last week so I am not that happy with what I produced because it takes AGES to do a piece with only dots and I was rushed, so it is pretty basic.
Thanks to everyone who left a comment on my last post, I really do appreciate your comments.

Diva Challenge #139: Use My Tangle 8s Parte Dos
The challenge this week from Laura is the use the Tangle "8s Parte Dos". You can see Laura's challenge here.
I love the tangle MI2 which is a similar style to this so I had a lot of fun with this one, rather than do a tile I did a page in my journal. I just love what a difference shading makes to these kinds of tangles, it gives a real 3d effect

21 Secrets - Doodling our way
Back again after completing my second 21 secrets Art-journaling class. This class was from Cathy Bluteau and was about collage and doodling mixed together. I have always struggled with collage in the past as I could never get it to look cohesive. Cathy taught some good techniques and I am pleased with how the final product turned out.
I am off to continue with my 21 secrets journey...

21 Secrets - Watercolour Playground
I recently signed up to 21 Secrets which is an online Art Journaling series of workshops, there are 21 workshops by 21 different artists. I thought this would be a good way to go as it gives a chance to try out lots of different styles and learn lots of new things. This year's registration is closed ( I got in on the last day).
My first workshop was by Tammy Garcia, Tammy has an amazing website called Daisy Yellow and hosts a number of challenges. I took part in the ICAD (Index Card a Day) challenge earlier this year.
See Tammy's website HERE, there is loads of interesting information on it.
The workshop was called Watercolour Playground and here are my pieces from it
First we learnt how to do stripes and wording
Then blending and bubbles
And finally put it all together in one fun piece.

Diva Challenge #138 and Repeating Stack challenge
This week I had a bit more time so I have done 2 challenges.
First the weekly challenge from Laura at I am the Diva, see here. The challenge was to look around you and see borders and use them in your tile. I took inspiration from boxes, a fireplace and picture frames and here is my tile, fairly simple but fun.
The other challenge I did this week was from Jusy West at Creative Doodling, I have not done one of Judy's challenges for ages, this was to do a Repeat Pattern Stack see here. Judy's examples are all organic but I kept mine more structured and used triangles and oblongs.
I have just signed up for 21 Secrets Art Journaling online classes so I am really looking forward to starting that and blogging about it. It will be something quite different from Zentangling and much more out of my comfort zone.
