Olympic Rings

As everything seems to be going Olympic mad over here at the moment I thought I would give a go at Tangleing the Olympic Rings. This was fun finding Tangles to fit.

Zendala Dare 3

Here's my attempts at Erin's  The Bright Owl: Zendala Dare #3

I found this week much more difficult than the last 2 weeks. I struggled to get the tangles to flow together somehow.

I am happy with my first attempt, but the second one doesn't feel so good. However I decided to post them anyway as it is a good challenge to try something new.

Zendala Dare 2

Here's my entry for Erin's second Zendala dare.

http://thebrightowl.blogspot.co.uk/2012/04/zendala-dare-2.html

This one was fun again, when I saw the template, the first thing that I thought was Fricle and the first tile evolved from there

For the second attempt my favourite snake made an appearance again.

I decided to have a go at tangling my initial. To make it more challenging I only used patterns that began with F

It took me three atempts before I managed to get something that I liked with Finery, Florz, Frilee, Floatfest, Fescu and Fricle.

Tangle Challenge 1

I have had a go at the Zentangle Dare set up by Erin on her blog
http://thebrightowl.blogspot.co.uk/2012/04/welcome-to-zendala-dare-and-zendala.html

This is the first time that I have tried a Tangle using a template, normally I just go with the string approach. I tried it twice and they both turned out quite differently.

This was my first attempt at a 'hand tangle'

I have just set this Blog up so that I can take part in some of the Zentangle challenges and also to display some of my creations. May need some help from my IT expert (12y old son) to get this looking a bit better!!
