Zendala Dare #9
Another week another dare.
Here's a link to this
week's dare from Erin at http://thebrightowl.blogspot.co.uk/
Yet again my first two attempts at this turned out to be very....I guess the word is structured. I think it must be my mathematical brain that makes it easier for me do do this type of design rather than the more free flowing ones.
I prefer the second attempt as it feels to have more depth.
I had to have a third attempt as 'snake' had not yet made an appearance this week. So I went for a new combination. Mooka coloured in as a snake. Not sure about the end result, however it was worth a try!
fiona - you have three totally different looks here - not sure which i like best. on your last one i really like the center - i can't recall the pattern name - poke something - it looks really nice.and i like the outer ring in both of your first two. you used some interesting patterns and they work so well together.
ReplyDeleteI like the nice contrast of tangles in your drawings. I had to smile at your Mooka snakes.
ReplyDeleteAll three are wonderful. I wish I could such a lovely mooka. Yours are great!
ReplyDeleteI love the first one...no wait, the second...no wait, the third one. Oh, I can't even pick one they are all so beautiful! Thanks for taking the Dare!
ReplyDeleteThese are all wonderful, and I know what you mean about "structured" , I'm finding it hard to "think outside" the lines myself. However, you have done wonderfully creative zendala's with very interesting choices of tangles. I also smiled at your snake mooka!
ReplyDeleteAll are really nice Zendalas. The first one reminds me of rattan paddles on a fan and warm summer days.
ReplyDeleteAll are great but especially like the line work of the borders in the first two.
ReplyDeleteThese are all wonderful. I think I like the second one best.
ReplyDeleteI had trouble getting beyond the structure of this one also.
When someone give me "lines", I always have the need to fill it all in...must be my type A personality! LOL! Love all of these, but I think my favorite one is the second one.
ReplyDeleteThree lovely tiles...one template, three very different lovely looks!
ReplyDeletethese are great!
ReplyDeleteAll three of your Zendalas are beautiful. I agree, the second one just pops. Is it the shading, or the tangle you used? Anway, love your work and all three are super!
