Diva Challenge #107
The challenge this week from laura at I am the Diva is to use the new Official Tangle Quandary, this is a fun tangle with lots of Tangelation possibilities, I decided to go for a mono-tangle and try out a few variations.

Diva Challenge #106
Those of you who have looked at my blog before will know that the stripey snake tanlge features quite a lot. So when the challenge from Laura at I am the Diva this week was to incorporate a snake for Chinese New year as it it the Year of the Snake I thought great. See the challenge here.
Howewver my mind then went blank......
I ended up with the following tile which I quite liked until I added Cadent which I think doesn't quite work... Ah well I posted it anyway because there are no mistakes in Zentangle!

Diva Challenge #105
AS it is the first Monday of the month, the challenge this week from Laura, which you can find HERE is a Use My Tangle challenge. The tangle we are using this week is from
Margaret Bremner, the tangle is Dansk and you can see it here
I had not used this tangle before so was looking forward to trying it out. However I found it quite difficult to get it to look right. I think it needs a bit more practice.
Thanks to everyone who visited last week and left comments.

Diva Challenge #104
The challenge this week from Laura at I am the Diva is to use a predefined string, I haven't used a string for a while as most of my pieces have been ZIAs recently so it was nice to do this for a change.
The angular shapes in this string made me think of paradox immediately, so that was my first attempt.
When the paradox is done together you loose the string in the effect.
Thanks to everyone who visited and left a comment last week, it's great to read your feedback.

For my second attempt I used Auraknot, another favourite tangle of mine and a bit more unusual to use it with a string. I have never tried this before.

Diva Challenge #103
The challenge from Laura at Iam the Diva this week is to raise awareness for Moebius Syndrome disorder and use the Moebius Syndrome Foundation's logo in your Tangle.
Laura's son Artoo has Moebius Syndrome which is a congenital nerve disorder affecting cranial VI and VII nerves controlling the lateral movement of his face. Moebius is a spectrum disorder - so some cases are more severe than others.
When I first discovered the Mobius Strip at school many years ago I was fascinated by it, a shape with only one side and one edge, which also has strange properties when you cut it lengthways depending on how you do it....however we won't go into that here..
My first thought was to Tangle the mobius strip, however given this has just one side and one face I decided that would not work logically for me... So I decided to leave the Mobius strip blank and tangle around it to produce my ZIA And here it is

Diva Challenge #102 and Zendala Dare #40
I have not had a chance to do one of Erin's dares for a while, however when I saw this week's Zendala template here I immediately thought of Auraknot, a tangle I love. I had not had a chance to start on my piece when this weeks Diva Challenge from Laura came out, and it was to use Auraknot and Bunzo. See the challenge here.
Perfect , a chance to do two challenges in one.....
So here is my Zendala dare using Auraknot and Bunzo
and here is another freeform Zia

Diva Challenge #101
Here we are back for another challenge after a nice relaxing break over Xmas and New Year.
I was in such a rush for the last challenge I did not get the chance to say thanks to Laura for her fantastic weekly challenges which continue to push us all to try new things. I really look forward to these challenges each week and how Laura manages to fit them into her very busy life I don't know. I really appreciate that she does though.
Well onto this week's challenge which you can find here. This is a Use My Tangle challenge using a new Tangle "Phicops" which was developed by Laura's husband. It's a great tangle which I had fun with.
After finishing this tile the bottom tangle made me think of wheat. so that's where I went with my second attempt.
